James Franco

James Franco werd geboren op 19 april 1978 en is naast acteur ook regisseur en producent.

Zijn eerste rol was in een aflevering van de tv-serie Pacific Blue, maar meer bekendheid kreeg hij door de komedieserie Freaks and Geeks van Judd Apatow. Franco brak pas door tot het grote publiek met zijn rol in de Spider-Man triologie als Harry Osborn.

In 2008 speelde de acteur naast Seth Rogen in de stoner-komedie Pineapple Express en het biografische drama Milk. Een jaar later nam hij een rol aan in de langlopende soap General Hospital waarin hij een jaar lang te zien was. Voor zijn rol in de film 127 Hours ontving hij een Golden Globe award en een Oscar nominatie.

In 2011 moet Franco te zien zijn in Rise of the Apes, een nieuwe film in de Planet of the Apes-reeks. De acteur zou samen met Kate Hudson ook een rol hebben in Lovelace, de film over het levensverhaal van pornoactrice Linda Lovelace. In 2003 zal de acteur de rol van Oz vertolken in een prequel op The Wonderful Wizard of Oz. De film wordt geregisseerd door Sam Raimi.
