Eerste trailer Kong: Skull Island

In navolging van Godzilla (2014) wordt het Godzilla/King Kong universum uitgebreid met de film Kong: Skull Island. In de film van Jordan Vogt-Roberts (The Kings of Summer) is te zien hoe een team in de jaren '70 op onderzoek uitgaat op een onbewoond eiland. Helaas beseffen ze niet dat ze daarmee het terrein van een van de grootste monsters ter wereld betreden, namelijk dat van King Kong.

Na Kong: Skull Island zullen King Kong en Godzilla het tegen elkaar opnemen in de film Kong vs. Godzilla. In Kong: Skull Island schitteren onder andere Tom Hiddleston (The Avengers), Brie Larson (Room) en Samuel L. Jackson (Pulp Fiction).

Kong: Skull Island zal vanaf 9 maart 2017 te zien zijn in de Nederlandse bioscoop.
