Gehaktballen stoten Avatar van boxoffice troon

Afgelopen donderdag behaalde de animatiefilm Het Regent Gehaktballen de eerste plaats in de Nederlandse boxoffice top 10. Daardoor komt de film Avatar op de tweede plaats.

cloudy_with_a_chance_of_meatballs1Avatar moest al eerder tijdelijk zijn top aan de boxoffice afstaan aan de romantische komedie Valentine's Day. "De mensen hebben duidelijk trek, niet alleen in gehaktballen, maar zeker ook in 3D", aldus Sony Pictures.

In de voorjaarsvakantie doen kinderfilms het sowieso goed in de bioscoop. In bezoekersaantallen bestaat de top 3 van donderdag 25 februari uit Het Regent Gehaktballen, De Prinses en de Kikker en Iep!. Het Regent Gehaktballen draait zowel in 2D- als 3D-versie. De Engelstalige variant, genaamd Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs, draait niet in Nederland.
