X-Men spinoff ‘New Mutants’ met of zonder James McAvoy?

Professor X zal zeer waarschijnlijk een rol spelen in de door Josh Boone's geregisseerde X-Men spinoff ‘New Mutants’, die momenteel ontwikkeld wordt door Fox. Dit heeft producent Simon Kinberg bevestigd aan Collider. Of James McAvoy in de film zal terugkeren als Charles Xavier, is nog maar zeer de vraag. Met zijn laatste bijdrage aan Apocalyse is ook zijn contract om de rol te spelen beëindigd. ‘New Mutants’ gaat over een jonger team van mutanten. De opnamen zijn gepland voor 2017.
