Anna Faris in nieuwe sitcom Mom

Anna FarisAnna Faris krijgt de hoofdrol in een nieuwe serie van de bedenker van The Big Bang Theory.

De 36-jarige actrice, bekend van haar rol als Cindy Campbell in de Scary Movie-films, mag de hoofdrol vertolken in Mom, een nieuwe sitcom van CBS. De reeks werd bedacht  door Chuck Lorre (Two And A Half Men, The Big Bang Theory).

Mom draait rond een alleenstaande moeder die in Napa Valley woont. Ze is net afgekickt van een drankverslaving en probeert haar leven terug op de rails te krijgen. Faris was in het verleden al te zien in succesvolle series als Friends en Entourage.

Het is voorlopig nog niet duidelijk wanneer de serie in première zal gaan.
