De laatste-film heeft de meeste nominaties gekregen voor de Razzies.
Dit jaar maaktThe Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2het meeste kans op een Razzie. Het laatste deel van de populaire serie is voor maar liefst elf Razzies genomineerd. Naast de film zijn ook regisseur Bill Condon en acteurs Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, Ashley Greene en Taylor Lautner genomineerd.
De meeste concurrentie kanTwilight verwachten van de filmBattleship die maar liefst zeven keer werd genomineerd voor de award. Daarnaast hebben ook Nicolas Cage (Ghost Rider 2, Seeking Justice), Adam Sandler (That's My Boy), Jennifer Lopez (What to Expect When You're Expecting), Liam Neeson (Battleship, Wrath of the Titans) en David Hasselhoff (Piranha 3-DD) een nominatie in de wacht gesleept.
Vorig jaar wasTwilight: Breaking Dawn - Part 1ook een grote kanshebber op de filmprijs. Destijds was de film genomineerd voor maar liefst negen Razzies. De prijzen gingen uiteindelijk naar Jack and Jill. De film van Adam Sandler was destijds genomineerd voor maar liefst tien Razzies, en wist die uiteindelijk allemaal te verzilveren. Een bijzondere prestatie, want het was nog nooit eerder voorgekomen dat een film in alle categorieën won.
De Golden Raspberry Award, beter bekend als de Razzie, is een filmprijs die sinds 1980 elk jaar wordt uitgereikt. In plaats van de beste prestaties te belonen, worden tijdens de Razzies de slechtste prestaties bekroond. De nominaties worden meestal een dag voor de Oscarnominaties bekend gemaakt.
