Pinguïns Madagascar krijgen eigen film

De pinguïns uit de animatiefilms Madagascar krijgen een eigen film. Dat vertelde regisseur Tom McGrath op de film- en stripbeurs Comic-Con in San Diego.

In 2015 moet The Penguins of Madagascar in de bioscoop te zien zijn. De pinguïns hebben al een animatieserie die in Nederland te zien is op Nickelodeon. Daarin beleven de vier dieren avonturen in Central Park Zoo in New York.
 
De film zal worden gemaakt door Dreamworks Animation, die op de Comic-Con ook de films Kung Fu Panda 3 en Me and My Shadow aankondigde.

Me and My Shadow laat zien wat er gebeurt als je schaduw je leven overneemt. De schaduwscènes zijn in handgetekend 2D en de rest van de film is computeranimatie. De film moet in de lente van 2014 verschijnen.
